Lessons

We offer lessons for both children and adults. We teach every aspect of horsemanship. All our students start bareback to learn balance, and in a rope halter to learn proper feel and develop soft hands. In our lesson program you will learn the basics of everyday care, and how to handle horses in all conditions. We offer lessons for a wide variety of people from someone completely green about horses, to wanting to reconnect with your horsemanship after time off, or the person who is curious about horses but nervous. English and western lessons available. Private or small group Join us for a non-riding lesson! If you have an interest in horses but not riding, we still have many options for non-riding learning opportunities. We can supply helmets. Ranch Ride

Open year round ride the ranch and surrounding property. Beautiful views of Lake Coeur D Alene, Worley, and the farmed fields and mountains. Some trails you can see Montana, Rockford, Mica, Tekoa Wa, Coeur D Alene, Harrison, St Maries, Plummer, and more of Idaho. Rides 3hrs and up include lunch. We try to match the best horse to the skills and confidence level of the rider. If you or anyone in your party are nervous, please let us know. Weight limit is currently 250#, Age limit 6+ (some 4 and 5yr olds are mature enough to follow basic instructions and balance and hold on. We lead them on their own pony from the guides horse for maximum safety) our rides are $65hr per rider. Upon booking, please have ready the number of riders, their age, height, weight, and if they have any prior riding or horse experiences. We can provide helmets. Camping Ride

A few times a year we do camping trips to the Mallard Larkin Wilderness on the St. Joe River. We take in 5-9 horses, and we camp in a horse camp area. Your whole family can join us on our trips and rent horses by the ride, or if you need to rent tent and equipment, we might have something to suit you, or haul in your own camper. We can cook for you, or you can bring in your own food. We go in a day ahead to prepare for your arrival and stay a day after for cleanup. If you have an equine friendly place to camp with great trails, give us a call, we might be able to schedule a personalized trip for just your group or family. We usually go in for 5-10 days at a time. Call us with your idea’s, wants, needs and we will see what kind of package and price we can put together for you. Our pony parties are offered year-round.

In poor weather we decorate the barn and stalls, and have an indoor area for the children to ride in.

Painted Pony Party

We offer 1 pony, horse, or donkey to be ridden, petted, brushed, painted and loved on for 2 hours by up to 8 children per pony. Each child will be given a ride being led by staff. We have a few horses or even Pearl the white donkey to choose from. Pony can be decorated for party theme. Pony package starts at $350 for 1 pony 2 hours (1 hour for brushing, petting, and painting and 1 hour for rides). An hour after painting and rides can be added for cake/present time or time for petting the other animals around the ranch.
